Chocolate and Red Wine Bundt Cakes

This is a dangerously delicious and seductive Italian dessert to end any dinner on a delightful note!

Italian Chocolate and Red Wine Bundt Cakes are perfect for a Valentine’s Day treat as well!

We suggest pairing this dessert with an Italian red wine such as Barolo or Nebbiolo.

Ingredients for the cake:

3 eggs

2 cups kamut flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1 tablespoon vanilla

2 sticks butter (225g)

1 cup red win

1 1/2 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

Ingredients for icing:

2/3 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons red wine


  1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a medium size bowl. Melt butter, add to large bowl, whisk in eggs and red wine. Little by little add in the dry ingredients until the mixture is smooth and uniform. Place in bundt tin.
  2. Bake at 350F/180C for 25 minutes. While baking, prep icing. In a small mixing bowl add red wine, slowly sift in the powdered sugar a little bit at a time while mixing. Once complete cover and put in refrigerator to cool.
  3. Remove bundt cakes from oven, let cool before removing from bundt tin. Once cooled, remove icing, let it become room temperature and drizzle icing on top mini cakes.
